You know, Fumikado is a pretty deep character actually~ They based their entire identity around the idea that they're going to one day become this guy that's been dead for like a thousand years, because their Grandfather really wanted that dead guy to become the emperor, and Fumikado wants to fulfill his dream because he took them in after their parents died. But their plan failed. It failed in so many different ways. And yet they cling onto it because, as I said, they based their entire identity around it. They're so fucking annoying about being the emperor because it's either that or ego death (definitely misusing the word ego death).
@@Yokai_soul Since their childhood, Fumikado was given by their granfather the porpuse of becoming the vessel for Masakado's resurrection, and ever since that has become all the porpuse and meaning to their life, and as time went on there had to be multiple sacrifices and challenges to overcome trying to fulfill this "porpuse". RMI's incident is an opportunity so great and that you could even think of it as a "if it isn't now there will never be any other chance like this in the future", failure would mean everything they've been working for and sacrificed would all be for nothing, and in the end it fails from something they could not have predicted (Harujion). For everything forward, from the fight to BPoHC's events they are in denial, clinging onto all the new emperor stuff as that's all they have, and losing that would be losing all meaning to their life, trying to do anything possible to still hold on to it, fighting for it anf denying having lost it all despite being in an all time low upon such a failure, losing the faith from all their followers and being in debt to a scoundrel that in no way would be any greater than a new emperor. BPoHC's New Emperor Team Haze Route is in my opinion the best route in the game because of this too, as it puts into perspective all that has been lost for nothing, and Fumikado's attempts at holding up their honor despite being fully aware of it all and eventually accepting not being truly worthy of the honor they so much demand and starting to hold in mlre value what they still have while keeping goals to keep working for and eventually become truly worthy of being the new emperor

I definitely prefer this version of Fumikado's theme over Hands That Can't Reach the Moon. To me at about 3:55 it sounds as if Fumikado is desperately trying to take the protagonists down with everything they've got, all while retaining their grace at the same time. Then at 4:46 it's like they've given up and accepted defeat. It's just a shame that most players probably don't get to hear those parts in game unless they're slowing down the fight on purpose or taking lots of time to read dialogue. I'm probably looking way too far into this, I do enjoy doing that after all. Either way I think JynX's compositions are genuinely incredible and I can't wait to see more from them in the future.

I like it it sounds kind of climactic 2:15 EPIC, motivational, emotional with epic drum beats + midi trumpet 3:02 LETS GO thought this was just going to be another solid theme but it goes quite hard 3:55 (loops) Epic! 4:08 WAIT NO IT KEEPS GOING
